GIVE ME A HAND Supplies
Directions - Mix according to directions----2 cups of water to 3 cups of water - Pour into two gloves - Stick chenilles down into to each finger for support (wire chenille should stick out of the top of the glove) - Close the top of the glove with twisty - In about 5 min the plaster will begin to harden - Use the ball to make a" palm" in the middle of the glove - Mold the fingers as it dries as you would clay to get the right shape - Keep using the ball and molding the fingers until the plaster is too hard to mold - Let dry 12hrs before removing rubber glove - Cut ends of chenilles off * Don't worry if a finger falls off (You can glue it back on with a multi-purpose adhesive or leave it off and paint the broken end with red paint----the goblins were hungry!) - Paint the hand gray - Add black and green paint for accent - Glue on the nails, if used - The hand can be used as a candy dish or decoration SINISTER SERPENT'S WREATH Materials
* All products can be purchased at chain craft stores and chain toy stores Directions - Spray the wreath with a very light coat of white paint, just a dusting - Using a brush paint the top of the snake with the glow in the dark paint - Apply paint to wreath also. No need to cover all just the top layer - When dry, wire the snake to the wreath - If using on door, add wire to hang - Put a punch bowl or candy dish in the middle as a centerpiece - Wreath needs to be exposed to natural light to glow in the dark Warning! Directions - Cut a piece of scrim 3'-4" wide, if wreath is larger than 14" and long enough to go around wreath - Wrap scrim around wreath and secure with floral wire - Wire bugs and heads around wreath - To make hanger, attach an 18" piece of floral wire to the top of the wreath - Take the excess wire and wrap it up and around the snake - Make a loop at the top and wrap the excess down and around the snake - If the hanger doesn't seem secure, add another piece of wire - Hang the wreath outside, on a tree or bush - Stand about 5' away, shake spray string can and spray with an up and down motion - If it doesn't look right pick it off and try again - Let dry and hang on door Warning! Directions o Spread icing around rim of waffle bowl o Put star sprinkle on wax paper or paper plate o Roll edge of bowl in sprinkles o Set aside o Mash banana in bowl with potato masher (or fork) o Stir in 1 heaping spoon of spread (or more) o Fill bowl waffle with banana mixture o Drizzle strawberry over banana mixture o Use cookie to eat Greasy Grimy Gofer Guts TARANTULA Utensils Scissors Paper Towels 1 Large Plate Toothpicks Ingredients 1 Black marshmallow covered cupcake (or white or orange) 5 pieces of black licorice twists 2 Red candies (for eyes) 2 Small yellow banana shaped candies (from a tropical fruit mix) 1 Tube of green icing Directions * Using toothpicks spread a light layer of green icing on five pieces of licorice then wipe it off with a paper towel (some will stay in the grooves) * With scissors, clip 1 inch up at bottom of licorice to make toes * Put four pieces of licorice on plate side by side * Cut the other piece in 1/2 and set aside * Place cupcake on top of licorice * Using toothpick, poke two holes 1" from the bottom 1" apart for the fangs) * Put a dab of icing on the end of each banana shaped candy, poke into holes * With the toothpick poke two holes for eyes * Put a dab of icing on each red candy and insert into holes * Put last two pieces of licorice under the cupcake just under fangs. * The Halloween craft activities and recipes found on this page were provided by www.scary.com, one of the most popular, creepy-little Halloween websites for kids and parents. |
