GIVE ME A HAND

Supplies

• Plaster of paris
  
• Rubber craft gloves
  
• Measuring cups
  
• Disposable plastic container (old milk cartons are perfect)
  
• Large spoon or wooden paint stirrer
  
• Old newspaper
  
• Old tennis ball or rubber ball
  
• Optional ----Set of fake nails with glue (red polish optional)
  
• Black, green and gray temper paint
  
• Wire twists (from bread bag to close gloves)
  
• 5 wire chenilles
  

Directions

- Mix according to directions----2 cups of water to 3 cups of water

- Pour into two gloves

- Stick chenilles down into to each finger for support (wire chenille should stick out of the top of the glove)

- Close the top of the glove with twisty

- In about 5 min the plaster will begin to harden

- Use the ball to make a" palm" in the middle of the glove

- Mold the fingers as it dries as you would clay to get the right shape

- Keep using the ball and molding the fingers until the plaster is too hard to mold

- Let dry 12hrs before removing rubber glove

- Cut ends of chenilles off

* Don't worry if a finger falls off (You can glue it back on with a multi-purpose adhesive or leave it off and paint the broken end with red paint----the goblins were hungry!)

- Paint the hand gray

- Add black and green paint for accent

- Glue on the nails, if used

- The hand can be used as a candy dish or decoration

SINISTER SERPENT'S WREATH

Materials

• Grape vine wreath (size depends on size of snake -18" wreath 5-6 foot snake)
  
• Rubber snake (one large or several small)
  
• Floral wire
  
• Glow in the dark paint
  
• White spray paint
  
• 2" paint brush or sponge brush
  

* All products can be purchased at chain craft stores and chain toy stores

Directions

- Spray the wreath with a very light coat of white paint, just a dusting

- Using a brush paint the top of the snake with the glow in the dark paint

- Apply paint to wreath also. No need to cover all just the top layer

- When dry, wire the snake to the wreath

- If using on door, add wire to hang

- Put a punch bowl or candy dish in the middle as a centerpiece

- Wreath needs to be exposed to natural light to glow in the dark

Warning! May cause repulsive reaction! Some people may run in fear.

REPULSIVE DOOR WREATH

Supplies

• Grapevine wreath (any size-14" shown)
  
• Numerous spiders and bugs
  
• One plastic snake at least 9"long
  
• Several skulls and heads
  
• Green spray string
  
• Scissors
  
• Floral wire
  
• 1/4 yard of gray scrim (gauze looking material) can be purchased at a chain craft store or fabric store
  

Directions

- Cut a piece of scrim 3'-4" wide, if wreath is larger than 14" and long enough to go around wreath

- Wrap scrim around wreath and secure with floral wire

- Wire bugs and heads around wreath

- To make hanger, attach an 18" piece of floral wire to the top of the wreath

- Take the excess wire and wrap it up and around the snake

- Make a loop at the top and wrap the excess down and around the snake

- If the hanger doesn't seem secure, add another piece of wire

- Hang the wreath outside, on a tree or bush

- Stand about 5' away, shake spray string can and spray with an up and down motion

- If it doesn't look right pick it off and try again

- Let dry and hang on door

FISH FOOD GEMS BELT HOOK

Supplies

• Assortment of fishing worms (can be purchased in sporting goods department
  
• Belt clip (craft store)
  
• Plastic covered wire (can be purchased at a chain craft store)
  

Directions

- Cut a 3" piece of wire

- Threadworms on to wire

- Form the wire into a circle

- Cross the two ends

- Add hook

- Twist the ends around the circle

- Clip on to belt loop

EEK, THERE'S A LIZARD (FLY) IN YOUR HAIR

Supplies

• Small plastic lizards or spiders
  
• A multi-purpose adhesive (one that can glue plastic)
  
• Hair clips (craft store) or headband
  
• Tooth picks
  
• Floral wire if making headband
  

Directions

- Use toothpick to apply glue to top of clip

- Apply glue to bottom of lizard or spider

- Attach to clip

- Let dry for at least 1/2 hour (glue in the hair is not fun)

- Insect should be wired to head band

EERIE PUMPKIN EATERS

Supplies

• Small pumpkins ---fake or real
  
• Bag of insects (toy store)
  
• Eyeballs (toy store or gum at the candy store)
  
• A multi-purpose adhesive (one that can glue plastic)
  
• Toothpicks
  

Directions

- Use toothpicks to apply glue to pumpkins and insects or eye balls

- Glue to the top of pumpkin

- Let dry

- Can be used as individual place card holders

- Or in a bowl as a centerpiece

FISH FOOD GEMS

Supplies

• Necklace
  
• Plastic covered wire (can be purchased at a chain craft store)
  
• Assortment of fishing worms (can be purchased in sporting goods department)
  

Cut the wire to fit around neck adding 3" for the latch

Using wire to poke a hole, thread worms on to the wire

Twist a loop in one end of the wire and a hook in the other

NEWT ON A GLASS

Supplies

• Disposable drinking glasses any color
  
• A multi-purpose adhesive (one that can glue plastic)
  
• Bag of newts (lizards)
  
• Metal spoons (as many as the glasses to be glued)
  
• Toothpicks
  

Directions

- Using a toothpick apply glue to places on newt that will touch the glass

- Set glass on its side and put spoon inside to keep it from rolling

- Let dry

Fill with witches brew and enjoy!

MONSTER MAGNETS

Supplies

• Scissors
  
• Multi-purpose glue
  
• Orange and purple beads (big enough that a chenille will fit through)
  
• Purple foam
  
• Animal stripe chenille
  
• Animal stripe pompoms with holes (craft store)
  
• Adhesive backed magnetic strip (craft store)
  
• Eyes
  

Directions

The on Eyed Bat

- Thread a chenille through a large pompom

- Add a medium pompom

- Add beads to both ends and trim leaving enough to bend over

- Cut a 5" piece of chenille for antenna and add beads

- Attach to neck, twisting to secure

- Cut wings from a 3"circle of purple foam

- Glue to large pompom

- Glue on one eye

- Peal off shinny part of magnet (throw away) and attach sticky side to large pompom

- I See You, I See You, I See You, I See You

- Thread a chenille through a large pompom then a medium one letting the excess stick out the front

- Trim it to about 3" and curl it up for a tongue

? Attach 2 pieces of chenille, wrapping them around the back side of the nose piece

BOOGER BURRITO

Utensils

• 1 Large spoon
  
• 1 Large plate
  

Ingredients

• 1 Pancake (thaw if frozen)
  
• 1 Jar of green cherries
  
• 1 Can of whipped cream
  
• 1 Individual serving of green applesauce
  
• 1 Piece of red or green string licorice
  

Directions

* Fold two edges of pancake together

* Tie with licorice

* Fill with whipped cream

* Add cherries to inside and add more whipped cream if needed

* Drizzle applesauce across pancake, covering licorice

The nose knows....it's good!

GREASY GRIMY GOOFER GUTS

Utensils

• 1 Potato masher or fork
  
• 1 Small bowl
  
• 1 Paper plate or wax paper
  
• Toothpicks
  
• 1 Spoon
  

Ingredients

• 1 Slightly green banana
  
• 1 Jar of peanut, caramel and chocolate spread (found in peanut aisle)
  
• Waffle bowl
  
• Strawberry syrup
  
• Star sprinkles
  
• 1 Tube of any color icing
  
• Sugar wafer cookie
  

Directions

o Spread icing around rim of waffle bowl

o Put star sprinkle on wax paper or paper plate

o Roll edge of bowl in sprinkles

o Set aside

o Mash banana in bowl with potato masher (or fork)

o Stir in 1 heaping spoon of spread (or more)

o Fill bowl waffle with banana mixture

o Drizzle strawberry over banana mixture

o Use cookie to eat Greasy Grimy Gofer Guts

TARANTULA

Utensils

1 Large Plate

Toothpicks

Ingredients

1 Black marshmallow covered cupcake (or white or orange)

5 pieces of black licorice twists

2 Red candies (for eyes)

2 Small yellow banana shaped candies (from a tropical fruit mix)

1 Tube of green icing

Directions

* Using toothpicks spread a light layer of green icing on five pieces of licorice then wipe it off with a paper towel (some will stay in the grooves)

* With scissors, clip 1 inch up at bottom of licorice to make toes

* Put four pieces of licorice on plate side by side

* Cut the other piece in 1/2 and set aside

* Place cupcake on top of licorice

* Using toothpick, poke two holes 1" from the bottom 1" apart for the fangs)

* Put a dab of icing on the end of each banana shaped candy, poke into holes

* With the toothpick poke two holes for eyes

* Put a dab of icing on each red candy and insert into holes

* Put last two pieces of licorice under the cupcake just under fangs.
